Use Your Stash Blog Hop Ribbon DeStash

Welcome to the Use Your Stash blog hop, this month we are destashing some of that ribbon we have hanging around the old craft room!! And if you are like me you have rolls and rolls and rolls and maybe a few pieces from that birthday gift or Christmas gift that you knew you would use some day -- well, today is the day.

If you hopped here from Wendy's blog, you are on the right track.

It is time for Christmas cards and in my stash is several rolls of this pretty Colonial White and Cranberry ribbon. Looking for a very clean and simple look, I took a piece of Fern (new color) cardstock to mat a Colonial White piece stamped with the White Pines Card Workshop on the Go stamp set (love, love, love it).

Cocoa ink stamped wreath image, with Fern stamped leaves and Cranberry stamped berries set off the Cranberry/Colonial White ribbon and the Cranberry sentiment.

Finished with a Cocoa sentiment under the ribbon. It turned out nicely, I think a few more and this will be my Christmas card for this year.

And now to hop on over to Marilee's blog and see her uses for ribbon!!

Here is a list of our wonderful Use Your Stash bloggers

A Lesson from Blake Shelton and The Voice

I love The Voice blind auditions. While I don't always watch all the battles, I do keep up with who wins BUT watching the coaches vie for the voices they want on their team is inspiring. They promote themselves and what they can do for their possible team members. My favorite is the finger point Blake Shelton does when the artist is trying to decide.

And thanks to a sister consultant, Karen Pedersen, I saw how my love of this show could translate to my love and passion for Close To My Heart -- WHY PICK ME! Yes, I am wanting YOU to choose me, finger pointing at myself, Blake Shelton style.

Fundamental Friday

Fundamentals is now a great new Close To My Heart product as well as a scrapbook program and every Friday I will share one or the other with you.

Today I am sharing the Fundementals paper line. This papeer has a beautiful pattern in the Exclusive color and White Daisy on one side and a tone on tone embossed on the other.

Here I used Lagoon and Pear on the embossed side, a piece White Daisy, October's Stamp of the Month, Twinkle (D1510) and shimmer trim. I also used the Artbooking Cricut cartridge to cut the polariod style mats.

The top string of lights is from the stamp set, Twinkle. The gloss of the light bulb is liquid glass.

To save paper, I cut the title out of the base page.

Here is the title cluster placed a top of Teal and Green shimmer trim.

Love my 'twinkle'.

Please share your comments, I love to read them.

Cricut Artfully Sent and Nevermore

Halloween is one of my favorite times of the year just because of the cool colors and decorations. Here is one of my cards for my Artfully Sent Halloween card class. I love the green glitter paper spider (this color of glitter paper is retiring so get it while it is still available).

A few of the new green sparkly triangles were used to add a little more bling.

And don't forget the inside of the card. I created a piece to fit across the whole card, covering the space. Thew so I could use the same side of tbe paper for both the inside and outside.

Tasty Terrors (D1669) is the stamp set I like to call Nom, Nom, because one of the images says Om, Nom, Nom, is that not so cute. Images coordinate with Artiste Cricut cartridge.

Please leave a comment, I love to read what you have to share and jump over to my website and get your Artfully Sent and/or Artiste Cricut cartridges and Tasty Terrors stamp set.

Twinkle (S1510) October Stamp of the Month

Is it ever too early to start on Christmas cards? No way, and that is why I am so excited about this month's Stamp of the Month!

Several great sentiments you can use on cards, layouts, or even a Picture My Life card. The images include an ornament, lights with twinkly stars, and a frame of stars. Three images (see the red outline) coordinate with the Artiste Cricut cartridge.

I will be sharing more artwork featuring the Twinkle Stamp of the Month.

The first piece of artwork uses the new Eggplant (Enchanted color group) color. The three levels of matting include:

Eggplant - 4" x 5 1/4"
Cocoa - 3 7/8" x 5 1/8"
Purple Glitter paper - 3 7/5" x 5"
Colonial White - 3 1/2" x 4 3/4"

Placed on a Colonial White card base.

I stamped one end of the squiggle line three times at three levels along the top left side leaving room for the three ornaments to overlap but still show through.

I stamped the sentiement 'Joy' in the bottom right corner of the Colonial White piece.

Using 3D Foam Tape, two of the ornaments, the ones on each side are popped up with the middle ornament attached directly to the sentiment piece.

Put the pieces together and I added some retired cocoa ribbon (this month the Use Your Stash theme is ribbon, so I will be sharing ways to use ribbon) to the tops of the ornaments.

And, of course, you have to remember the inside of the card.

I used the twinkly stars to randomly stamp around the sentiment.

And you may want to remember to stamp on the envelope that is where I am off to.

Please enjoy this card and share your thoughts in a comment.
