Happy Mother's Day Mom

This is the second Mother's Day without my Mom. You would think it would get easier but it doesn't. This day of all days would be the day I would call and thank her for all she did for me. See Mom was my biggest  FAN. She is the reason I craft, she was always finding new crafty ideas.

I remember the candles she made. This was a hobby she took up when I was just entering high school. She had seen in a magazine how to put ice in a milk carton, add hot wax, tie a wick to a dowel and hang it from top of the milk carton and when set, cut the milk carton away. Easy Like Sunday Morning

My Todd, a loving fur friend, is getting older. It took me a while to see this. He still has the energy of a young pup, however does not show it as often.

I realized his aging when the brown spots on his face began to show streaks of white and he no longer made a mad dash for an adventure in the neighbor whenever the front door opened. 

It is not a bad thing, we seem to be at the same speed now, he and I. He enjoys more time snuggling close on the sofa when it is cold and more time just speeding quiet time lying in front of the craft room door while I work. 

He is a good companion and he listens well to the ramblings of an old woman.
