Tip Tuesday - Aligning Alphabet Stamps

The word color from the Lucky Friendship Workshop Your Way (G1175) stamp set is perfect for coloring!

Do you find lining them up difficult? Here is a tip you may try the next time you are creating with an alphabet stamp set.

Place the alphabet stamps face down using a grid, our Close To My Heart Versamat works great for this too.

Place the block over the letters and lift.

Now you are ready to ink up the stamp!

Here I used color on the inside. And using the Clear Shimmer Pen and Lagoon, Thistle, and Raspberry ink pads, I colored each letter!

Flip Flaps and Something Fierce

I am loving Something Fierce, January's featured paper collection! Here is another Deluxe Workshop Your Way layout. This is the left hand layout with a 6"x 12" flip flap option available with this workshop.

You create the left side 12" x 12" layout with a smaller half size layout which looks like your layout is bigger!

You actually have two half size layouts as you will have a back side to the front side 6" x 12". A great way to add more photos to a layout.

And the left side of the layout is a pocket page, giving you even more photo and journaling options.

Enjoy!
Shirley

More Card Caption FUN

Finishing off projects is a goal for 2019, so I grabbed a card front I created earlier (retired products) and add it to a card base.

And January's Stamp of the Month was perfect to finish this project. I added a little FUN to the inside and envelope

A great stamp set for a new project, an old project, just about any project you have in mind.

The Something Fierce deluxe scrapbooking workshop focuses on a variety of stamping techniques, as well as adding pocket cards and Flip Flaps™ to your layouts. Use the materials in this kit to create 3 two-page layouts and 1 single-page.

Here is the first single page layout. It was fun adding a random stamped section at the top of the layout.

Adding the twine using a small bead of liquid glass keeps the twine in place.

Placement of embellishments across a photo is FUN, just remember, if you have not chosen a photo, put adhesive on the side that will not be atop the photo.

Words to Stamp By

That is what I think of when I look at January 2109's Stamp of the Month, Card Captions (S1901).

The lovely sentiments and different fonts make this a MUST HAVE for the cardmakers!

And just a few images thrown in give you options for the inside and envelopes for those beautiful cards you will create.

My first project used the leftovers from the butterfly stencil I created for a card shared a few months ago. I used the butterfly cutouts to create a cascade of movement with a few sparkles added, cause you can never have enough sparkle.

The sentiment was stamped in White Daisy Pigment ink and embossed with clear embossing powder.

What else goes with cascading butterflies? Of course, sunshine and rainbows. Add a few flowers along the edge of envelope, yes this stamp set has everything you will need.

And you can get it for $5 with a qualifying purchase!! Check out the new Seasonal Expression 1 Idea Book, goes live today, January 1st, and your copy of the Idea Book will be added to your order FREE!

Love of Color - CTMH Technique Blog Hop

How do know you what colors go together? Would you love to have a guide? This month our technique use the Love of Color (9045) how to book.

If you have hopped from Katy's blog, you are on the right track.

My favorite color is pink so I began to search through the many pink colors we carry. I loved the ballerina, Heather, Black, and Pewter option shown here. I loved the card so much, I created it using the Bestie Therapy Cardmaking Workshop Your Way stamp set. Any stamp set with a coffee mug is my favorite.

Using this how to book, Love of Color (9045), makes creating so much EASIER!!

Now to hop on over to Lauren's blog to see what she has in store for us!!

Oh What Fun Blog Hop

It is time for our featured paper pack blog hop! This month we are featuring Oh What Fun!!

If you have hopped from Haley's blog, you are on the right path!

My projects start with the Oh What Fun inspired Bestie Therapy Cardmaking Workshop Your Way (G1167). This workshop kit includes everything you need to create 12 cards, six each of two designs. I like to grab a few stamps from my stash and a Oh What Fun paper pack (X7238B) letting me create a variation on the two card designs.

This was so much FUN!! What stamp sets do you have in your stash that you can use with the bright and colorful Oh What Fun paper collection?

If you don't have a consultant, I would love to serve you!

Now to hop on over to see what FUN creation Lauren has for us.

Tis The Season Blog Hop

It is time for another Close To My Heart featured paper pack blog hop. This month we are featuring Tis The Season with it's traditional Christmas color theme!

If you have hopped over from Haley's blog, you are on the right path!

This month I am sharing 'how to use up' those Tis The Season scraps.

I used the new Thin Cuts - Fancy Tags (Z4305) to create Christmas tags. I used scraps of Tis The Season and kept it in the coordinating colors of Candy Apple, Fern, New England Ivy with Black as a neutral. A little Cricut snowflake tag finished off these tags.

Now head on over to Kathleen's blog to see what wonderful Tis The Season project she has in store for us!

If you see something I shared and would like to know more, contact me at (shirley.ross@rockinheartist.com). If you don't have a Close To My Heart consultant, I would love to serve as yours, click HERE for my website.
